ThriftSort Privacy Policy

Who we are

ThriftSort is a mobile game for iOS and Android made by DigitalSoothing (Leon Feenstra), Fugelweide 4a, 9254 GP Hurdegaryp, the Netherlands (KvK 85759562). For any question about this policy or your data, email info@digitalsoothing.nl.

The short version

  • You don't need an account, and we never ask for your name, email or location.
  • We don't run our own servers: we don't collect, see or sell your data.
  • The game shows ads from Google AdMob. Google may use a device identifier to show and measure those ads, and in the EU, UK and Switzerland it asks for your consent first.
  • Your progress is saved on your device and backed up through your own Apple or Google account.

Your game progress

Your store, money and level are saved on your device. To keep your progress when you switch or reset phones, the game also stores a copy in your own cloud account:

  • iOS: iCloud (Apple), when you're signed in to iCloud.
  • Android: Google Play Games saved games (Google), when you're signed in to Play Games.

This copy only contains game data, sits in your account, and isn't accessible to us. Deleting the app removes the local save; you can remove the cloud copy in your iCloud or Google Play Games settings, or reset the game from its settings screen.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

The game is free and shows ads: optional rewarded videos you choose to watch for in-game money, and occasional full-screen ads. These are provided by Google AdMob. To show, limit and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google may collect:

  • a device advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android) where available;
  • your IP address and approximate location derived from it;
  • device and app information, such as model, operating system, language, and how you interacted with ads.

If you're in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, the game shows Google's consent screen at the first start. You choose whether ads may be personalised. You can change your choice at any time with the Privacy button on the game's settings screen. If you don't consent, you may still see non-personalised ads.

On iOS the game doesn't ask for permission to track you across apps, so your IDFA isn't shared. You can also reset or limit your advertising ID in your phone's settings.

Google processes this data under its own policy: how Google uses data in ads and the Google Privacy Policy.

Children

ThriftSort is a general-audience game and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data through the game, contact us and we'll help remove it.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct or delete personal data, to object to processing and to withdraw consent. Because we don't hold any personal data ourselves, requests about advertising data are best made to Google, but we're happy to help: email info@digitalsoothing.nl. You can also complain to your data protection authority; in the Netherlands that's the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
